ATC training report
The 2nd ATC training event was a great success with people coming from all over Europe, including Denmark, Sweden and Germany! We camped out in the countryside, sharing ideas, skills and experiences, rain or shine....
50 participants helped us with maintenance work and we also delivered practical sessions on:
-putting up marquees
-basic field kitchen construction
-site planning and logistics (including ides for this years Earth First summer gathering)
-site preparation, health and safety and tat down
-plumbing
-power
-sanitation and grey water
-comms
-rocket stoves
Groups had the opportunity to go from basic to advanced level on many of the topics above, and also find out information specific to their campaigns.
We also had an evening of campaigns films, links below, and encouraged people to get involved in our projects for this summer, solAIDarity, and our usual summer calendar which is filling up fast with Scottish training event, Peace camp, Earth First, Animal Rights, Permaculture Convergence,
Participants included people from the Nordic Climate Camp, Rossport Solidarity Camp, Calais Migrant Solidarity, Anti-Nuclear, Plane Stupid, and many many more....
